Michiel Hendrix is Director, Regulatory Policy, at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, where he is part of the Global Regulatory Policy & Intelligence team. He focuses on regulatory policy for cell and gene therapy and precision medicine as well as developments related to medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, substances of human origin and biosimilars. His work on innovative therapies, companion diagnostics and the medical device regulatory framework provides perspective on how regulation can better support the development and availability of (pediatric) combination products. Before joining Johnson & Johnson in 2026, Michiel worked in several roles for both the European and Dutch medicines agency focusing on European and global regulatory policy. Michiel holds degrees in international law and political science.
