Sylvie Benchetrit is the Paediatric Referent of the French medicine agency ANSM, in charge of the expert paediatric group of health care professionals and patient representatives, and member of the Haut Comité de Santé Publique- Jeunesse (HCSP-SEJAP-Ministry of health).
She has been acting as Vice-Chair of the Paediatric Committee (PDCO) of EMA since 2022 (re-elected in 2025), and representing France as the Delegate since 2010. Senior assessor of the Paediatric Investigation Plans (PIPs) and expert on the paediatric scientific and regulatory recommendations at European and French levels, she has been participating since the beginning of the European Paediatric Regulation (in 2007) on paediatric topics and as scientific advisory, in the fields of medicines development and facilitating access to the paediatric medicines.
She is a pharmacist (PhD) epidemiologist (DEA). Before ANSM, she has worked in industry, hospital and non-profit organizations.
