Franca Ligas

European Medicines Agency
Franca serves as a Scientific Officer in the Paediatric Medicines Office at the European Medicines Agency (EMA), where she oversees Paediatric Investigation Plans, with a particular focus on oncology. Since 2021, she has also led the Paediatric Cluster on behalf of EMA. Franca holds a medical degree from the University of Cagliari, Italy, where she completed her residency in Clinical Pharmacology. Before joining EMA, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a clinical research physician.
